Ripped from a forgotten homeland as a child, Tisaanah learned how to survive with nothing but a sharp wit and a touch of magic. And a dark magic that will entangle their fates. A reclusive warrior who no longer believes it exists. I can’t wait for the sequel to come out later this year! This book is available on Kindle Unlimited.Synopsis: A former slave fighting for justice. The villain in the story is a moving target and we don’t know all the circumstances around factors of the plot, which just add to the mystery and suspense of everything. That being said, I loved every page of it. The book is split into 2 parts and is extremely long (500+) pages, so you have been warned. Max and Tisaanah are able to move past initial meetings and become an unlikely duo. We don’t know exactly what happened to him until much later in the book, but you do know that he has experienced some really awful things during the war. Upon Tisaanah arriving at the order, she is given the mentor Maxantarius, who is very unwilling to do anything to help her or, by default, the Order. Her inner strength showed through in every page. Tisaanah was very positive, without being annoyingly optimistic in bleak circumstances, which I really enjoyed to read.

She used this mistreatment as fuel to try to ensure that she could do something about these atrocities. She was raised in absolutely awful circumstances and the way people used and abused her is something no one should experience. She has a steadfast determination to position herself in a way to go back and help any one else who has been enslaved, and she will do just about anything to do so. Even books that I think are great typically only get 4 stars so for me to give 5, it was incredible! The story follows Tisaanah, a former slave who fled to The Order to escape. Okay, wow! I don’t give out 5 stars very often. Even if it means gambling in the Orders’ deadly games. The bloody past he wants to forget may be the key to her future… or the downfall of them both.īut Tisaanah will stop at nothing to save those she abandoned. Even more dangerous are her growing feelings for Maxantarius. The Orders’ intentions are cryptic, and Tisaanah must prove herself under the threat of looming war. But to join their ranks, she must complete an apprenticeship with Maxantarius Farlione, a handsome and reclusive fire wielder who despises the Orders. But the night she tries to buy her freedom, she barely escapes with her life.ĭesperate to save the best friend she left behind, Tisaanah journeys to the Orders, the most powerful organization of magic Wielders in the world.
